I am 20 years old. I am currently going to University of Cincinnati to major in English. I have been an avid reader since I began reading at a very young age. I have decided to take up reviewing as a hobby and to never sell out! My biggest dream as of right now would be to become a very well-known published author. Keeping my fingers crossed. Do not be afraid to email me @ CassandraRichards25@gmail.com if you have any questions or if you would like for me to review your book! :D

The Lost Prince by Julia Kagawa

Synopsis:

Don't look at Them. Never let Them know you can see Them. That is Ethan Chase's unbreakable rule. Until the fey he avoids at all costs—including his reputation—begin to disappear, and Ethan is attacked. Now he must change the rules to protect his family. To save a girl he never thought he'd dare to fall for.

Ethan thought he had protected himself from his older sister's world—the land of Faery. His previous time in the Iron Realm left him with nothing but fear and disgust for the world Meghan Chase has made her home, a land of myth and talking cats, of magic and seductive enemies. But when destiny comes for Ethan, there is no escape from a danger long, long forgotten

**********************

Ethan is your typical bad boy, who sets fires to schools and beats up football players. This is an image Ethan is okay with everyone seeing. His secret, he can see fairies, and his half sister, Meaghan is the Queen of the Iron Fey. GASP! He can see faireis, but tries, failing miserably to act as if they are not there. For being a Pro, he isn't that great at it, if you as me. Then Ethan meets a kid being picked on by a couple of big football players and decides to intervene, but turns out said kid is half-fey. Just freaking wonderful. Then the kid goes missing, along with other half fey, and then these ghost things come after Ethan! So what does he do? Asks his sister, who he hates so freaking much, for help. Ethan is once again sucked into the Fey world and has to protect Mackenzie who was accidently sucked into the world with him.

I could not finish this book. I got about 70% and that was mostly skimming to get to the great parts with Ash, Puck, and Meaghan. I don't know if its the characters or if I just miss Puck, Ash, and Meaghan... I have no idea. I hated how hateful Ethan was. So much negativity. We get it. You're an angry teenager. What makes you so different. Oh, your sister is a Queen of fairies. Whoopie. Seriously, I don't know what it was about this book I just didn't like. It wasn't the same Iron Fey series I came to love.

I would recomment this to people still, its an amazing story, but it wasn't for me. I don't know if I out-grew the series, or if I had my expectations too high.

Disclaimer:
I recieved this book in return for an honest review from Netgalley.
