Fifty Shades of Blonde by Jessica Knoll
Synopsis:
The sexy story that first burned up the pages of Cosmopolitan is here—with three new chapters that are so hot they may steam up your screen
Christopher Reiss is the handsome and extremely intimidating CEO of a major financial firm. Megan’s nothing but a lowly assistant. But when she stumbles upon some incriminating evidence that could threaten Christopher’s career, she finds herself on his radar . . . and eventually his desk, his kitchen counter, his bed . . . you get where this is going, right?
****************
What?
Megan is some assistant of some big finacial firm. Her boss is sexy, wealthy, dangerous, and connected to the Mob? Sounds like a promising, some what original story? Not exactly. I was excited when I saw this on Netgalley and I just had to review it! As I started reading it was pretty good. Good characters, promising plot, great sex, climatic boss encounter, more great sex, the end? Thirty pages or less? Where was the story? The back story? Why did Chris get tied into the mob? Why did Megan want to be a reporter? Did they fall in love or was it all lust the whole time, or Chris's ploy to see if Megan was going to fuck him over? Who knows. Unless there is more to the story that is coming out soon? Research showed no promise.
I guess I'll be left hanging. I recommend this book to people that just want to read porn and that's it.

I recieved this book in return for an honest review from Netgalley.
Providence Series by Jamie McGuire
Synopsis:
Providence & Requiem:
In the old world shadows of Providence, Rhode Island, Nina Grey finds herself the center of a war between Hell and Earth.
Struggling with her father’s recent death, Nina meets Jared Ryel by chance…or so she believes. Although his stunning good looks and mysterious talents are a welcome distraction, it soon becomes clear that Jared knows more about Nina than even her friends at Brown University. When questions outnumber answers, Jared risks everything to keep the woman he was born to save—by sharing the secret he was sworn to protect.
When her father’s former associates begin following her in the dark, Nina learns that her father is not the man she thought he was, but a thief who stole from demons. Searching for the truth behind her father’s death, Nina stumbles upon something she never expected—something Hell wants—and only she holds the key.
Eden:
She had seen the unspeakable.
She would learn the unknowable.
Now, she would fight the invincible.
In the third and final installment of the Providence series, Nina Grey will marry the wrong man, carry the child that was never supposed to be born, and fight a war she can't win.
Faced with the impossible task of protecting his new wife and unborn child against the throes of Hell, Jared Ryel is allowed no mistakes. Pressured to return the Naissance de Demoniac to Jerusalem, he revisits St. Ann's to learn the answers were in front of him all along.
Together, they must survive long enough to let their child save them - and the world.
**********
Kindle has this awesome bundle for only $9.99! Believe me, it's definitely a steal!
The story starts off with Nina's father dying from a car accident. As she is leaving the funeral and in her own little world she notices a boy sitting next to her on a bench at the bus stop. The bus has already came and went, but Nina has no where else to be, she is lost. She meets Jared. A very sexy stranger, whom seems to be every where she is. Jared also seems to be harboring a very dangerous secret. Will Nina be able to handle the secret or will it send her screaming for the hills.
I liked how the first two stories are serious, but also fun. Those two were my favorite, but Eden was just tying up loose ends and saving the world from Hell taking over. Too serious, but also good.
I recommend these to people who like originality. Jamie McGuire knows how to dish out an original, emotional story, she just may be my new fave. :)

The Lost Prince by Julia Kagawa
Synopsis:
Don't look at Them. Never let Them know you can see Them. That is Ethan Chase's unbreakable rule. Until the fey he avoids at all costs—including his reputation—begin to disappear, and Ethan is attacked. Now he must change the rules to protect his family. To save a girl he never thought he'd dare to fall for.
Ethan thought he had protected himself from his older sister's world—the land of Faery. His previous time in the Iron Realm left him with nothing but fear and disgust for the world Meghan Chase has made her home, a land of myth and talking cats, of magic and seductive enemies. But when destiny comes for Ethan, there is no escape from a danger long, long forgotten
**********************
Ethan is your typical bad boy, who sets fires to schools and beats up football players. This is an image Ethan is okay with everyone seeing. His secret, he can see fairies, and his half sister, Meaghan is the Queen of the Iron Fey. GASP! He can see faireis, but tries, failing miserably to act as if they are not there. For being a Pro, he isn't that great at it, if you as me. Then Ethan meets a kid being picked on by a couple of big football players and decides to intervene, but turns out said kid is half-fey. Just freaking wonderful. Then the kid goes missing, along with other half fey, and then these ghost things come after Ethan! So what does he do? Asks his sister, who he hates so freaking much, for help. Ethan is once again sucked into the Fey world and has to protect Mackenzie who was accidently sucked into the world with him.
I could not finish this book. I got about 70% and that was mostly skimming to get to the great parts with Ash, Puck, and Meaghan. I don't know if its the characters or if I just miss Puck, Ash, and Meaghan... I have no idea. I hated how hateful Ethan was. So much negativity. We get it. You're an angry teenager. What makes you so different. Oh, your sister is a Queen of fairies. Whoopie. Seriously, I don't know what it was about this book I just didn't like. It wasn't the same Iron Fey series I came to love.
I would recomment this to people still, its an amazing story, but it wasn't for me. I don't know if I out-grew the series, or if I had my expectations too high.

Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire
Synopsis:
The new Abby Abernathy is a good girl. She doesn’t drink or swear, and she has the appropriate percentage of cardigans in her wardrobe. Abby believes she has enough distance between her and the darkness of her past, but when she arrives at college with her best friend, her path to a new beginning is quickly challenged by Eastern University's Walking One-Night Stand.
Travis Maddox, lean, cut, and covered in tattoos, is exactly what Abby needs—and wants—to avoid. He spends his nights winning money in a floating fight ring, and his days as the ultimate college campus charmer. Intrigued by Abby’s resistance to his appeal, Travis tricks her into his daily life with a simple bet. If he loses, he must remain abstinent for a month. If Abby loses, she must live in Travis’s apartment for the same amount of time. Either way, Travis has no idea that he has met his match.
******************
Abby was to restart her life and image, and leave the unwanted past like it left her unwanted. Or so she wants to think and desperatle believe. Abby's friends take her to an underground fight club sort of thing where Abby first sees Travis. I about melted when Travis called her Pigeon. I never thought Pigeon could ever be edearing, but here is bad boy Travis making it happen. I like how Abby fought her attractions for Travis in the beginning and instead of giving him the cold shoulder and keeping her distance, she befriends him. They're best friends and you see how they fell in love but instead of talking about it, they both are stubborn and fight it just so they can keep thier friendship. There were a few things I didn't like about Abby, and Travis. I didn't like the fact Travis went back to his old habits and in front of Abby more or less. I wish Abby just grew a fucking back bone and told him how she felt! A lot of disaster could have been diverted, but makes up for the drama in the book. This was an emotionally fun ride. I enjoyed it more than I should have.
I recomment this to people who love raw emotions, hot sex, and angst! I cannot wait for the next installment! Walking Disaster, its Travis' POV! Should be interesting! Watch out for that one! :)
Gabriel's Inferno/Rapture by Sylvain Reynard
Symopsis:
Gabriel's Inferno:
Enigmatic and sexy, Professor Gabriel Emerson is a well respected Dante specialist by day, but by night he devotes himself to an uninhibited life of pleasure. He uses his notorious good looks and sophisticated charm to gratify his every whim, but is secretly tortured by his dark past and consumed by the profound belief that he is beyond all hope of redemption. When the sweet and innocent Julia Mitchell enrolls as his graduate student, his attraction and mysterious connection to her not only jeopardizes his career, but sends him on a journey in which his past and his present collide. An intriguing and sinful exploration of seduction, forbidden love and redemption, "Gabriel's Inferno" is a captivating and wildly passionate tale of one man's escape from his own personal hell as he tries to earn the impossible...forgiveness and love.
Gabriel's Raspture:
Professor Gabriel Emerson has embarked on a passionate, yet clandestine affair with his former student, Julia Mitchell. Sequestered on a romantic holiday in Italy, he tutors her in the sensual delights of the body and the raptures of sex. But when they return, their happiness is threatened by conspiring students, academic politics, and a jealous ex-lover. When Gabriel is confronted by the university administration, will he succumb to Dante's fate? Or will he fight to keep Julia, his Beatrice, forever? In Gabriel's Rapture, the brilliant sequel to the wildly successful debut novel, Gabriel's Inferno, Sylvain Reynard weaves an exquisite love story that will touch the reader's mind, body, and soul, forever.
**********************
Gabriel's Inferno is about a young student, Julia is begining in Mr. Emerson's Dante's specialist class. I never heard of Dante, or half of the people but it was so much fun learning about them. At first I really didn't like Professor Gabriel Emerson, and I thought the beginning started awfully slow. It picked up pretty quick after a few pages from the beginning and I got the inkling that Julia knew Mr. Emerson before his class, but it took a while before the story revealed secrets. I enjoyed the playful banter between Gabriel and Julia. After they quit being stubborn and got together it was fun. They get together, fight through the truths and lies surrounding one faithful, drugged out night.
(Mild Spoilers; book 2)
Gabriel's Rapture is when the shit hits the fan and everything they once fought for is now crumbling down around them. They get caught having an affiar at school, people's lives are in jeopardy and they split, of course. BUT instead being sensible and letting eachother in on thier secrets, shit gets messed up.
This was an amazing two reads. I got to read Gabriel's Inferno/Rapture back to back and imerssed myself in the world the beautiful, talented Sylvain Reynard created. The plot was original, the characters were relateable, the scenes believeable, and the sex mind-blowing! I enjoyed Inferno better than Rapture, but was glad with the happy ending. I would love to read more about Gabriel and Julia's future together. Highly recommended!
Hostile Takeover by Joey W. Hill
Synopsis:
Book V of the Knights of the Board Room series (can be read as standalone)
Ben is the last unattached member of the five-man executive team of K&A Associates. The other four, all Masters, have found the submissive of their dreams. That’s fine. The sharp-edged lawyer knows he’s the most hardcore of all of them, with extreme tastes as a Master he satisfies physically through experienced club submissives. He doesn’t really need anything more than that.
Marcie has loved Ben since she was sixteen. He’s never behaved as anything more than a protective big brother, a family friend. But now she’s twenty three and starting her career as a corporate investigator. She may be a blood-and-bone deep submissive, but she won’t hesitate to use her aggressive talents to prove she’s meant to be his. With a Master as tough as Ben, she’ll have to take whatever measures are needed—even if her deepest desire isn’t a hostile takeover of his heart, but an unconditional surrender to it.
Reader Advisory: Marcie’s sexual journey contains a group scene of female/female sexual exploration. The Masters also share her in a brief group scene.
****************
If you are looking for something like Fifty Shades of Grey, keep looking, but are looking for more smarter, serious smut? How about an extremely sexy lawyer dominent, and a completely senseless submissive? Hostile Takeover is exactly what you are looking for.
Ben is a lawyer for the K&A Associates, with a troubled past. Mommy issues. Marcie is Cassandra's younger sister. They knew each other a long time, and Ben has seen her nothing but like a little sister, but Marcie wants to change all that, and she's willing to play a very dangerous game just to get what she wants. Will Marcie break the very hardcore dominent Ben into falling in love, or will Ben leave Marcie to bite more than she can chew?
Hostile Takeover contains very intense BDSM scenes, not for the fainto f heart. Bondage, anal sex, ménage (m/m/m/m/m/f and f/f/f/f), spanking, and absolute submission are all a part of this story, but, in my opinion, this is a love story at heart. It takes complete love and trust to completely give yourself your control. Now, because of this book, I want to check out the other Master of the Boardroom books! :)

Bared to You by Sylvia Day
Synopsis:
Gideon Cross came into my life like lightning in the darkness…
He was beautiful and brilliant, jagged and white-hot. I was drawn to him as I’d never been to anything or anyone in my life. I craved his touch like a drug, even knowing it would weaken me. I was flawed and damaged, and he opened those cracks in me so easily…
Gideon knew. He had demons of his own. And we would become the mirrors that reflected each other’s most private wounds…and desires. The bonds of his love transformed me, even as i prayed that the torment of our pasts didn't tear us apart...
****************************
Wow, oh wow! Close to Fifty Shades, but with its own twist! I very much enjoyed Bared to you by Sylvia Day. It was an amazing emotional roller coaster! I loved Eva's character, she was pretty kick ass and girly at the same time! It had the same alpha male, mega rich, and little girl just starting out in the world, and amazing HOT chemistry and amazing HOT sex. I am surprised I enjoyed this book so much, just like I was with enjoying Fifty Shades! Gideon, oh my Gideon. At first I didn't like his name. Who in the hell names thier kid Gideon! But, man. He was amazing to read. There was a couple parts in the story (when you get to this phase of the story, you'll know what I mean.) that I could have seriously done without.
I seriously cannot wait until Reflected in You and continue with thier love story. I recomment this to you Fifty Shades lovers. :)

Honor by Teresa Mummet
Synopsis:
There are two sides to every story. Honor Student is the story told from Emma's perspective. A college student who lacks discipline falls for her professor but he has secrets that could cost her her life. Honor Thy Teacher is the story from William's perspective. A college professor with very unique tastes and lots of secrets.
************
Honor by Teresa Mummet, is both Honor Student, and Honor Thy Teacher. I read the first one and it was alright, all they did was fight, leave each other, guilt trip each other and have sex. It was exhausting to read. The sex scenes were amazing though! I really liked those but the story had some holes and seemed made up as the author wrote it. She put no thought into the relationship aspect. Fishy stuff happens and you think all is right in the world. They "fall in love" have amazing sex/fight.sex/fight/make-up sex. Then I begin reading Honor Thy Teacher...WTF!? I mean, his back story is real interesting, but you find out some crazy lies he told Emma! What!? But he loves her? No. That's not love. That's lust. She's a good fuck and that's it. Don't make it into what it is not! Gross.
It was an alright read, I wish Teresa put a lot more thought than she did with these books, put more love than lust and lies. Then it would have been a great read! I may read the third and fourth when they come out in a bundle but other than that...Nah.
Dark Veil by S.L. Naeole
Synopsis:
Fallon Timmons didn't know what to expect from the small island her adopted parents grew up on, but whatever it was, she thought she was prepared for it. Then Liam appeared, all teeth and venom, with a warning to stay away from his sister Audrey and from him. It was a warning that she was not going to heed, no matter what the strangely attractive boy said.
Liam Mace was used to seeing the tourists on the Rock, and looked especially forward to them leaving. But Fallon wasn't leaving. In fact, she was staying. Worse, his sister was growing attached to her, and that was never a good thing...
You never become attached to your food.
Black Cat Rock, or the Rock as it is called, is the home of the Panthus, shape-shifting cats of magnificent size and strength who live in their human skins only to protect their secret. During the day they catch fish to sell, or wait on and serve the tourists who come to visit their island, but at night, the fangs come out and the hunt begins as tourist becomes prey.
****************
The synopsis is longer than this book! Ha. Any way, this was a pretty short read for being a S.L. Naeole book. She is a sucker for amazing detail and imagery, and this was no different. I really, really, REALLY wanted to like this book, and the characters, but I just couldn't. The story is amazing and original like always, but the ending was adrupt, with no real resolution. The two main characters; Fallon and Liam spent the whole book hating and fighting chemistry between each other and all of a sudden then they decide to be together? Then the end is snippets of them coming out to the whole town that they are together? It just left me with more questions than answers. I really don't like Liam. He was a dirty dog (HAHAHAHA!) and he kept playing both girls until the end. We'll see what happens and if he can restore some dignity in the next book.
I do recommend, Naeole is my all time favorite author, and I will be reading the next book and hopefully it will be a hell of lot better like her other books!

Forever... by Judy Blume
Synopsis:
Katherine and Michael meet at a New Year's Eve party. They're attracted to each other, they grow to love each other. And once they've decided their love is forever, they make love.
It's the beginning of an intense and exclusive relationship, with a future all planned. Until Katherine's parents insist that she and Michael put their love to the test with a summer apart...
******************
Uhm, okay... I didn't know what to expect going into this, and just from the synopsis, I guess I expected a lot of raw teenage emotion and angst. All I actually got was a robot having sex with some horndog teenage boy, who clearly didn't know a thing about romance. Not my cup of tea, Judy. But thanks for trying. Wouldn't recommend this one at all.

The Fifty Shades Series by E. L. James
Synopsis:
FIFTY SHADES OF GREY: When college student Anastasia Steele goes to interview young entrepreneur Christian Grey, she encounters a man who is beautiful, brilliant, and intimidating. The unworldly Ana realizes she wants this man, and Grey admits he wants her, too—but on his own terms. When the couple embarks on a daring, passionately physical affair, Ana discovers Christian’s secrets and explores her own desires.
FIFTY SHADES DARKER: Daunted by Christian’s dark secrets and singular tastes, Ana has broken off their relationship to start a new career. But desire for Christian still dominates her every waking thought. They rekindle their searing sensual affair, and while Christian wrestles with his inner demons, Ana is forced to make the most important decision of her life.
FIFTY SHADES FREED: Now, Ana and Christian have it all—love, passion, intimacy, wealth, and a world of possibilities for their future. But Ana knows that loving her Fifty Shades will not be easy, and that being together will pose challenges that neither of them would anticipate. Just when it seems that their strength together will eclipse any obstacle, misfortune, malice, and fate conspire to turn Ana’s deepest fears into reality.
This book is intended for mature audiences.
****************************************
I was very skeptical when I first heard of the Fifty Shades of Grey. I thought to myself, hmm. YA erotica. How? WHY WASN'T THIS AROUND WHEN I WAS IN HIGH SCHOOL! Haha. I would have ate this shit up! I am by no means a prude, or a whore. I like to think of myself as the exception. I like to read about fairytales and love stories, but I also like the rawness of such stories. I truly believe The Fifty Shades series succesfully achieved what I am looking for in books. The sex could have a bit much, I mean, let a girl catch her barrings! I had to put it down and find my boyfriend a few times to cool off! Not that he was complaining much!
"Fuck the paperwork"
I had a few problems with Christian's attitude and a few of his actions. At one point in the second book I had to throw the book across the room and throw stuff to show just how upset I was with him and his actions. That, for me, would have the "make it0or break it" clause. I would have thrown in the towel and told him to go screw himself. If you read Fifty Shades Darker, you will understand why I am so upset. Of coarse, you cannot stay mad at Christain for too long, that's impossible! After a few heated words at the book, I picked it back up, apologized and continued reading. I blew through the first two like it was nothing and my boyfriend, Jay was surprised I could go through books like I did! I astounded him! These books are very raw and they show reality along with fantasy. Mostly fantasy because there is no way in a hell a man can produce that much, if you know what I mean!
I was surprised that I enjoyed these books, and I don't even give a shit that it was fan fic. If I wouldn't have been told this, I would have had no idea. These characters worked together and tested each other through out all three books. It is worth the sex and the drama, because the end is truly happy. The happiest I ever felt towards characters.

Anna Dressed in Blood by Kendare Blake
Synopsis:
Just your average boy-meets-girl, girl-kills-people story...
Cas Lowood has inherited an unusual vocation: He kills the dead.
So did his father before him, until his gruesome murder by a ghost he sought to kill. Now, armed with his father’s mysterious and deadly athame, Cas travels the country with his kitchen-witch mother and their spirit-sniffing cat. Together they follow legends and local lore, trying to keep up with the murderous dead—keeping pesky things like the future and friends at bay.
When they arrive in a new town in search of a ghost the locals call Anna Dressed in Blood, Cas doesn’t expect anything outside of the ordinary: move, hunt, kill. What he finds instead is a girl entangled in curses and rage, a ghost like he’s never faced before. She still wears the dress she wore on the day of her brutal murder in 1958: once white, but now stained red and dripping blood. Since her death, Anna has killed any and every person who has dared to step into the deserted Victorian she used to call home.
And she, for whatever reason, spares his life.
*****************
When I first read the synopsis for Anna Dressed in Blood, I about died from so much swooning over the cover and how it just caught my attention. Left me partially dizzy and a high I never wanted to come down from. I begged and pleaded with my work for overtime just so I could buy this book and devour it! (I recently just bought a brand new 2011 Toyato Corolla, dubbed Cora. We are in love.) I recently just moved in with my boyfriend and on one of our many amazing motorcycle rides I noticed we lived right down the street from a library! I NEVER LIVED SO CLOSE A LIBRARY BEFORE! I was in panic to hurry and check out their book selections! Man! Did they have a lot of amazing books! They also had Anna Dressed in Blood. I checked it out and got to reading! Man, I couldn't put it down!
At first it irrated me that his name is Cas. My name is Cassandra and a lot of people call me Cass. I don't really mind it, but reading about a guy named Cas really bugged me. Then, I realized how sexist that was and decided not to give a flying hoot. Right from the beginning Cas' charm, and wit won me over and I realized why Anna fell so hard! Though, there isn't a lot of LOVE as in swooning, kissing, and carressing like in so many YA's these days so it was a breath of fresh air. The originallity of this story was what did me in along with how funny the characters were! Even Anna, who died a horrible, tragic death. Poor thing. The only parts that bugged me is how there isn't a lot of information given to you. Why didn't Anna kill Cas, why was he the chosen one, what is with that british guy, and what in the world does some stupid cross make everyone all of a sudden really mean towards Cas. Hopefully these questions get answered in the next book, Girl of Nightmartes.
I sugguest you read this, it was original and funny. Kept me interested long enough to make me feel bad about neglecting my dogs!

I sugguest you read this, it was original and funny. Kept me interested long enough to make me feel bad about neglecting my dogs!

Intagible by J. Meyers
Synopsis:
Twins Sera and Luke Raine have a well-kept secret—she heals with a touch of her hand, he sees the future. All their lives they’ve helped those in need on the sly. They’ve always thought of their abilities as being a gift.
Then Luke has a vision that Sera is killed. That gift they’ve always cherished begins to feel an awful lot like a curse. Because the thing about Luke’s ability? He’s always right. And he can’t do anything about it.
*****************************
Luke and Sera are twins and have a very deep connection. No, not only because they are twins, but because they share and keep each other's secrets and the one thing that could make or break any "normal" relationship they have in their lives. Luke can see the future, and Sera can heal. It is a very big secret they both harbor for each other. When Luke has a vision of his beloved sister dying, his world is turned upside down and race against the clock to find a way to save her.
Intangible was an enjoyable read. I couldn't put it down and if I was forced to (believe me, I was) I couldn't stop thinking about it. J. Meyers creates a dark and fascinating world where you don’t know who to trust, and a beautiful realm of the unbelievable. Meyers writing style was easy to follow with amazing imagery and wittiness. There is no doubt in my mind that Meyers is going to be a big self-published author.
Most of the characters were easy to like, and some I just wanted to hurt. Each had their own voice in the book, which as a writer I understand how difficult that can be. Kudos to Meyers for making each character individualized. Sera and Luke together were great and funny, even during serious times, which told me they use humor to cope with stress. I can easily relate with that. Jonas was alright. I didn’t really buy into the hardness of the character. He seemed forced and silly to me. “Hi, I am a vampire. I hate the human race and I am bad ass and the cherished of all vampires. Fear me, puny human.” Then towards the middle you realize why the way he is and you feel slightly bad for him. I say slightly in my own opinion because he still seemed forced to me and I did not admire him for that. Marc. Don’t even get me started on this worthless POS. I could not stand him. In the beginning I absolutely adored him even though he seemed to be against the twins at first. I felt bad for him, he had lost a lot “friends and family” because of his secret, but that gave him no right to act the way he did. He was just an ass, and then I started thinking what his character actually meant to the story, but I couldn’t think of anything of how he was important at all, maybe to foreshadow that there are other “kids” with amazing abilities like Luke and Sera? I have no idea. We’ll just see in the next book, which I hope comes soon because I am just dying to get my hand on it.
The plot was good, and easy to follow, but some parts seemed slow to me while other parts felt like there was going to a big climax and then nothing. I don’t know if it was because the author intentionally did this or if the story just played out that way. Some characters towards the end didn't seem like maybe they were added on in an attempt to have a cliff hanger or if to show that they are indeed not the only people with such abilities. It didn't add up to me. The realm was very original and amazing to read about. I hope we read more about it in the next book.
Over all, Intangible was a great read, and the writing fantastic. I would recommend this to anyone who likes an original story, face paced action and some bad ass characters!

Falling From Grace by S. L. Naeole
Synopsis:
When you wake up in the morning and your eyes take in the first hints of light that shine through your window, the dust motes catching and reflecting the sun’s rays like little diamonds, the shimmering hues of yellow and orangey gold breaking through into your room, the first thing you think about usually isn’t how you’re going to make it through the worst day of your life.
Unfortunately for Grace Shelley, that’s exactly what she’s facing as she ponders what to do now that she’s going to be starting out her last year in high school without her best friend. She’s not exactly the most popular girl in school - well, not the most popular girl in school to like, anyway - and everything seems to be hinting at another status quo year for her until she bumps into a stranger who leaves her stumbling for words and chasing after her heart.
The new guy in school is different. Robert doesn’t care about the rumors he’s heard about her or that no one else seems to see her the same way that he does; he only wants to be her friend. That’s when things get complicated. When Grace learns that he’s not your typical high school boy and that he’s actually a wingless angel who’s looking for someone to trust, she’s thrust into his world where not all angels are meant to protect human beings, and where the changes she brings into his life changes everything in hers.
**************************
“Before I succumbed to the sweet lull of his voice, I made one last request. "Stay". I was asleep before he could answer, but in my dreams I heard him reply "Forever."”
Falling from Grace was the first book I read written by S. L. Naeole. Man oh man! She is a fantastic writer! Grace Shelley is the school reject. She is described, by herself, as ugly. (I've read a few reviews where they are all "its unrealstic to have someone gorgeous ugly fall in love with someone ugly. Wrong. How shallow can you people be? Seriously. I consider myself ugly, but my gorgeous boyfriend says I am beautiful.) Grace is probably not ugly as she thinks she is, but kids at school ridicule her for being different. (I can relate. Big time.) She is different and she never seems to fit in any where except with her best friend, Graham. Then she confesses her love for him, and he ends the friendship for some sleeze. Typical. After weeks of being depressed and no one to turn to the first day of school has arrived. To Grace, this is the worst day to be alive. She has face Graham, his sleeze and her friends and the rest of the school. How will she stay out of the depressed mood, and survive without so much as a tear. It seems hopeless. Until she meets the hunky new guy, Robert. That when her world is turn upside down, or right side up. (Tomatoe, tomotoe; half full, half empty.)
This book was a handful in the good and bad way. I'm not bashing the author or the book, it was just a lot of emotions that would consume you. I loved how Naeole's writing could do that, but along with Grace, it was tough to live with such strong emotions, and mix in a gorgeous, deadly, angel and you have yourself a pickle. The characters were amazing. The only character I could have done without was Graham. I hated him since he hurt Grace, and thought I wouldn't have forgave him so easily and would have beaten up his sleezy girlfriend for being such a bitch! Grace is an emotional girl with a lot of issues, Robert seems to come in and helps her with these emotions and then all of a sudden he is the cause of these emotions. The way she handled the news he was an angel was unrealistic. I would have freaked, but to Grace it seemed odd, but she took it as normal as possible. Too normal if you ask me. Some of the situations in the book seemed unrealistic at times, but over all the story was fantastic.
My favorite scene in the novel is a cliff hanger, so I can't really say much about it, but man was it a tear jerker. Poor Grace, and poor Robert. I just couldn't understand at first why all that was being said but then it all made sense once they explained it. I know, I know, you have no idea what the hell I am talking about. Read the book and you'll find out, (HINT: Its after the holloween festival :))
Overall, it was amazing and I would highly recommend this to anyone. You need to read this!

Cover Reveal! Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare
Synopsis:
In Clockwork Princess, Tessa and her companions travel all over the world as they race to stop the clockwork army before it’s too late. As Jem’s health worsens alarmingly and his friends search desperately for a cure, can Tessa choose between the two boys she loves—even if it means never seeing the other one again?
Relase Date:

*****
So, I absolutely adore this cover. A LOT! I want to be honest for a moment, because I did not really like The Infernal Devices series as much as I like The Mortal Instruments. I mean, I did like it, but just not as much. Also, it hints that both the boys are gone by the time The Mortal Instruments events take place which saddens me, because I just love William to death. Since I adore this cover so much I decided that I will continue to read this series even though I know ultimately in the end she ends alone without either boy. God, that just breaks my heart.
What do you think of this gorgeous cover???

With the threat of Eryx always looming, Jax knows he has to keep Sasha safe and win her over. But can he? Will Sasha love him and give up her mortal life?
*****
"You're that attractive to me. I can smell you from across the room, like hot cider with cinnamon and clove. I can hear you breathe. I can see every hair on your head, every breath you take, every time you clench your jaw. My mind imagines you kissing me, and it doesn't stop there. I want to be with you all the time."
I have been contemplating on how I wanted to review this book. The concept of the story is mind blowing and original. I liked it, but did I love it? I still don't know. It is so frustrating because I want to love this book. I want to look back at reading this book and think, Damn! That was an amazing read. It was a great read, just not amazing. And that sucks for me.
Trinity Faegen's writing seemed very flawed to me in this book. She rushed through the whole entire story, the characters were very annoying and seemed to not have any swagger what so ever, and as the plot seemed to be made up as the story went, as if she had no research and was just throwing things together to make it epic.
The story is very rushed and dumps A LOT of information on you. I never had time to really understand or absorb the information without being bombared with other new information! I just wished I really understood what the urgency was or why things that were happening were bearing certain consequences. The urgency to hurry and the time line for the plot did not match up. I don't know if it was because I was still trying to process the information given, or because the writing was very flawed. The plot as well seemed to be made up as the story went, which could have been because of the writing and ultimatly made it seemed rushed.
Some the characters actions in the story were very unbelievable and through out I kept thinking, "No one in thier right mind would actually say that to someone without being punished in some sort of way. Also, things happened or would be said that were completely out context and then everyone acted like it never happened or it was okay for that character to say or do that. Unrealistic. For example (mild spoiler) Jax takes Sasha shopping for clothes and she goes in the fitting room to try them on. She, like every female, took forever. Instead of Jax just knocking the door or calling out to see if she is okay, he flashes in the fitting room with her and she is naked! Her boobs are just right there and he stares then hurries out of there. Sasha only acts as if it was no big deal and doesn't really do anything. I, so not being a prude (believe me), would have been so mortified! It was nuts! The character, Ajax, was probably my favorite, even though he seemed like an asshole that has no confidence in himself, or others. He expected Sasha to love him even though at times he was an ass, and then get all depressed when she knocked him down a peg. Sasha was my least favorite, though at times I definitely rooted for her. She just seemed so confused and put herself in stupid situations where Jax had to come either rescueing her, or fixing the stupid things she did. Do NOT even get me started on the ending. It ended. That's it, no closure of what the hell just happened. RUSHED! The big climax, something crazy, confusing happens and then, END! WHAT! :(
It was the concept of the story I liked, and some of the character's actions that made this story better. It was also very original. If Trinity had got her act together and fixed her writing flaws this would have been an amazing story! I would only recommend this if you wanted something to read to pass the time.

Cover Reveal: Through the Ever Night by Veronica Rossi
"A world torn apart. A love under siege."
Can I just say this...I have been dying to read this series and I just haven't had the time with all the other books I am going to be reviewing for and working on top of that! I am hoping, as soon as possible, I will be able to get my hands on both of these and be able to review them!
Through the Ever Night (Under the Never Sky #2) by Veronica Rossi is expected to be out on January 8th 2013 by HarperCollins! NOOOOOOOOOO! It just seems so so far away...
I like how they went with the same theme as they did with the first cover:
"A Million ways to die. One way to live."
Then I went poking around Goodreads and I found the UK edition of Under the Never Sky:
"Worlds kept them apart. Destiny brought them together."
I kind of like the UK edition better for some reason. It give off the whole 80's fibe. Plus, a little side note, isn't the guy MC, Perry supposed to have short blonde hair (as seen on the UK edition cover) but clearly the guy on the Through the Ever Night cover he has dark hair? Hmm... Or maybe I am mistaken since I haven't even read this series yet...YET! I will get to it as soon as I have time, or not. Maybe sooner than that! :)

The Iron Fey Series by Julia Kagawa
What can I say about the Iron Fey series that would want to persuade my friends and complete strangers to read these books? Hmm. I don't know. All that keeps popping up in my head is a name. One name that would melt hearts (or ice them which ever you want to take it) and just want so badly this world to be real. Ash. He is the best male character I have read about in a long time. I completely adore him and his iceness. At first I hated Ash. I thought he was such a jerk and that Meagan was a complete idiot for wanting to be with him. Ash is this brave ice prince of the Unseelie Court.
But back to the damn review and enough about my new "fascination" with Ash.
The Iron Fey series, to me, is original because I only read a few fey novels so far in my long 21 years on this earth. I thought the plot is all three were well thought out and planned and I had one hell of a ride with the three main characters. Bravo to Miss Kagawa for creating such a beautiful series. In the Iron Queen we catch up Ash, and Meagan going back to her house, only to find that the False King is still after her. Not wanting to put her family in any danger because of some stupid Iron fey she heads off to the Exile Queen's house, only to find out both Summer and Winter Courts need her help to kill the False King. You thought the first two books were an adventure, wait until you read this one. This adventure will blow your bain completely up. For example, Ash teaches Meagan how to fight! THANK THE GODS! I would hate being on the sidelines while watching poor exhausted Ash fight for me ever since I set foot in the Nevernever. The ending of this series was so-so. I mean I would give the fifth star a little cut in half if I could just because of this. Then, I found out The Iron Knight was coming out and I felt better. Even though I still have not got my hands on the fourth, I plan on doing so soon, so I can find out what happens!!! And also finding out that the Novella after the third one seems pretty interesting so far and is free on Kindle! (GASPS!) I loved this series, hands down. It was a really good one to read.
Do you have a friend that pulls a lot of pranks and takes EVERYTHING as a joke or uses a smart ass remark for? Puck (Robin Goodfellow) is the guy you need. I loved Puck from the VERY beginning. He will always be my favorite. (Sorry, Ash) He is just fun to be around, and also quite the jealous type. I loved how Kagawa made this love triangle. I mean Puck tries to make her see that he loves her, but he also wants to be that friend that is there for you. How many of your friends would risk thier lives for you? Thought so.
Meagan is a good main character. She has all the qualities I adore in a heroine. Smart, funny, kick ass, stubborn, and a bit of a smart ass at times. At first I thought she was whinny, but then she stepped her game up, ecspecially in the the third installment.
Ash. (Swoon) dreamy, sexy, hunky Ash. I would honestly just hump his leg. That is how much I like him as a character. (Bare with me today. I am being quarky.) Ash is strong, independant, sexy, cold, smart. Believe me, the list could go on for days. Ash just captured my heart in this third book. I was Team Puck for a bit because I thought Ash was just a big meany head, but at the end of the second and through out the third book, Ash really captured my heart.
Overall this books are amazing. Hell, the series is epic. If they make movies (AND STICK TO THE DAMN STORY LINE!) they will be a huge hit. I would see it (if they have good actors) maybe fifty times in one night. Instead of bar hopping I would be theater hopping. Its this big new thing now. (Lame, but awesome with the right kind of people) Anywho, I am done going on about how much I like these books. You probably gave up a long ass time ago. Hahaa.

Share The < 3
Last Teaser Tuesday, Kristie Cook, author of the Soul Savers series (which I suggest you read if you haven't yet, because well one name pops into mind; Tristan) revealed "Share the <3" and left us all wondering what in the world did it mean!? She went to say she is going to be starting a new campaign for a very speacial charity that is near and dear to her heart, as well it is to mine. So what does "Share the <3" mean, you might be asking yourself? Let's get serious for one second.
Domestic violence is a very big deal in my life and is not something I can easily talk about without getting either very angry, very emotional, or worse case, both. I have seen it first hand, and it is not pretty to watch someone you love very dearly get nearly killed. It was a turning point in my child hood and I am glad my Mom got out while she still could. I have had friends come to school/work with bruises they give excuses for. I've seen the difference between innocent accident bruises, and harmful caused bruises. The thing is not everyone can get out while they still can, and some have no where to go. They need help in the right direction and The National Domestic Violence Hotline is who they can call for this help.
Kristie is promising to donate $500 dollars once she sells 100,000th book! "For every 1,000 books sold past the 100,000 mark, up until July 30, 2012, I'll donate another $100." up to $2,000! That is amazing! This campaign Kristie is doing is for a very good cause I believe 110% in and I want to make a difference as much as I can. But we need as much help from others as well! This is where you lovelies come in. All you need to do it is Share the <3! Here is how!
- Buy Kristie Cook's books! Get them on Amazon! Promise and Genesis are only 99c! Also, if you buy a book keep your reciepts because Kristie has a few things up her sleeve! ;) See below for more details!
- If you have already bought the books, gift someone with these priceless gems! All retailers offer an awesome ebook gifting program now a days! ISN'T THAT AMAZING! :) Remember to keep the reciept!

Nevermore by Kelly Creagh
Synopsis:
Cheerleader Isobel Lanley is horrified when she is paired with Varen Nethers for an English project, which is due—so unfair—on the day of the rival game. Cold and aloof, sardonic and sharp-tongued, Varen makes it clear he’d rather not have anything to do with her either. But when Isobel discovers strange writing in his journal, she can’t help but give this enigmatic boy with the piercing eyes another look.
Soon, Isobel finds herself making excuses to be with Varen. Steadily pulled away from her friends and her possessive boyfriend, Isobel ventures deeper and deeper into the dream world Varen has created through the pages of his notebook, a realm where the terrifying stories of Edgar Allan Poe come to life.
As her world begins to unravel around her, Isobel discovers that dreams, like words, hold more power than she ever imagined, and that the most frightening realities are those of the mind. Now she must find a way to reach Varen before he is consumed by the shadows of his own nightmares.
His life depends on it.

Nevermore was amazing! You do not find many GREAT books that also deal with Edgar Allan Poe. I think I can die happy now, knowing someone out there has the same fascination of Poe as I do.
Bravo Kelly Creagh! Thank you so much for not being another author who down plays Poe's crazy, insane brilliance! I loved the back story of Poe, not to mention an amazing characters. I loved Isobel, and Varen. Isobel the cheerleader who only cares about (at the time) Nationals and hoping to win. Varen, that one weird, dark, handsome, don't-you-even-dare guy that sits in the back of the room, minding his own business. It was awesome watching Isobel grow from that blonde cheerleader, to let's kick some freakin' tail! Brilliant.
This is an orginal story and a breath of fresh air. It has everything in it! It really captures the time frame. It was a matter of weeks and Creagh made it seem like an enternity with how all of the amazing overwhelming events that transpired! While other authors speed up the process within two sentences, and never really captures the true feelings of the story. It had me wanting more! The ending is a cliff hanger and I am definitely holding my breath for the next installment!
Will she ever find Varen again! Let's hope so!!!!
Overall: Amazing read and every Edgar Allan Poe fan should read this! :)
Jessica's Guide to Dating on the Dark Side by Beth Fantaskey
Synopsis:
The undead can really screw up your senior year ...
Marrying a vampire definitely doesn’t fit into Jessica Packwood’s senior year “get-a-life” plan. But then a bizarre (and incredibly hot) new exchange student named Lucius Vladescu shows up, claiming that Jessica is a Romanian vampire princess by birth—and he’s her long-lost fiancĂ©. Armed with newfound confidence and a copy of Growing Up Undead: A Teen Vampire’s Guide to Dating, Health, and Emotions, Jessica makes a dramatic transition from average American teenager to glam European vampire princess. But when a devious cheerleader sets her sights on Lucius, Jess finds herself fighting to win back her wayward prince, stop a global vampire war—and save Lucius’s soul from eternal destruction.
*****
After reading the synopsis I thought this would be a cute, funny read. For the most part it was, but it also had a very serious side to it that I thought was just outstanding. Not many authors can write in this style. Funny, quirky, and yet have a serious tone when needed. At first Jessica really got on my nerves (I think its just the name, but who knows) because she was rude and hateful towards Lucius! But I think I would feel the same if I was just told I was an undead Princess and I am now going to marry some strange, creepy, yet also attractive guy. I mean that's just god awful to hear when you just became a senior in high school! There were times when I wanted to punch Lucius in the face as well, don't get me wrong. He irritated me more than anything. The thing with me though, is I don't let the stupidity of the characters get in the way of an awesomely written book, with a twisting plot and a total crazy ending! For me dealing with these two idiots was well worth it in the end!
Overall an amazing book and very well written. Beth Fantaskey did a suberb job and I look forward to reading the next book, Jessica Rules the Dark Side!

Blood Like Poison: For the Love of a Vampire by M. Leighton
Synopsis:
Like most seventeen year olds, Ridley Heller thought she had her future all planned out. What she wanted most in life was to get out of small town Harker. Her only goal was to keep her mouth shut and her grades high so she could win a cheerleading scholarship to Stanford. But that was before she met Bo.
In Ridley's wildest dreams, she could never have planned for someone like Bo, for a love so intense it left her breathless. No human girl could.
A haunting stranger that watched her from afar, Bo stole Ridley's heart from the moment she laid eyes on him. But he has secrets. Bo's a vampire. Both his past and his present are a danger to Ridley, but the biggest threat is not her blood; it's her heart. He's feeding a thirst for revenge that will cost him his life, and it may already be too late.
The more darkness Ridley uncovers, the more she realizes that her life will never be the same-with or without Bo. Can she sacrifice her future and her heart for someone who has a death wish?
****
Blood Like Poison is a trilogy series that centers the around Ridley, a oridinary seventeen year old girl. She puts up with a horny boyfriend, bitchy cheerleader "friends", and trying to figure out the new mysterious creepy stalker guy, Bo. When Bo finally decides to open up, Ridley learns some secrets that just may be life-altering! Bo, is in fact a vampire! Yikes! (In a good way!)
M. Leighton really wowed me and made me wish I was Ridley over and over again! I mean come on! Bo is to DIE for. ;) Bo was a well put together character, even though fictional, he was believable! Ridley was as well, even though a little whinney at times, I understood why she was like that. (I would have lay down and died if I went through what she went through! And to see how she found out about Bo being a vampire and all was just like WHAT! RUN! No, wait, stay. NO! RUN! RUN FOR YOUR LIFE! Wait, this is hot Bo we are talking about. It was quite comical how I was feeling about Bo in this scene and what was running through me silly little mind.
Overall this was an amazing read and I loved the adventure the amazing M. Leighton took me on! She as an eceptional writer and after reading this whole series in a couple of sittings (I had to catch up on laundry, House, Glee, and FOOD!) I cannot wait to see what she has in store for us next! I very much consider you picking up this book and devouring it much like I had! It will not dissapoing you! :)

Long Time, No See!
Hey everyone! It has been a very long time since I have had a chance to get on here! I recently just gained internet connection back, so I am back in the game! A lot has changed with me and I hope I didn't lose too many people in the process! I have not been reading as much as I would have liked because I have just been way too busy with writing, and dealing with a few life situations, but every thing is good on my end and back to normal!
I just moved into a house with my boyfriend, bought a brand new car, and writing my newest creation! Hopefully I can get it done, edited, and then published as soon as possible for my lovely's! I have a bunch of books lined up for this month and am looking forward to reading others. Hopefully I can jump into Giveaways as well! It is going to be a lot of work to get this book blog back going again and hopefully better this time around!
Wish me luck!
